We were one of the only beta test sites for this device and excited to offer our patients CoolTone treatment packages to achieve their best results!
What is CoolTone?
CoolTone is a high field electromagnetic device which is made to stimulate muscle maximally, resulting in increased muscle definition, strength and bulk.
How does CoolTone work?
CoolTone works by creating a strong electromagnetic field in the area treated which stimulates the skeletal muscle to contract. CoolTone stimulates even greater muscle activity than it is possible to achieve with a workout.
Who is a candidate for CoolTone?
CoolTone is great for anyone looking to increase the definition of muscle. The most popular areas for refinement are sculpting of the abdominal muscles (six-pack) and lifting the gluteal muscles (butt).
What are the benefits of CoolTone?
CoolTone is made by the same manufacturer that brought us CoolSculpting. This provides a sense of trust in the technology that is behind the muscle-toning device. In addition to knowing that the Cooltone platform has been built for results, patients also appreciate benefits like:
- Convenient thirty-minute treatment sessions.
- Fast results, greatly augmenting what the gym provides.
- Maintenance is as easy as quarterly touch-ups combined with a healthy lifestyle.
Clinical studies also indicate that by isolating and intensely treating muscle groups, CoolTone can achieve
- Improved core and muscle strength
- Up to 1.5 cm reduction in waist circumference
- Significant fat reduction in the treatment area
- Significant increase in muscle mass
What areas can be treated with CoolTone?
The FDA has cleared CoolTone treatment for muscle-toning of the abdomen and buttocks. However, treatment is also commonly used to tone the thighs and the triceps.
Is CoolTone the same as CoolSculpting?
CoolTone is often used along with CoolSculpting but is a completely different device. CoolTone is for increasing muscle definition, CoolSculpting is for reducing fat. When used together you can achieve dramatic improvements.
How can CoolTone be used with CoolSculpting to enhance results?
Studies indicate that approximately 25% of our body composition is fat. The average woman has about 35% muscle, and the average man, 40% within their total body composition. Although we maintain more muscle on the body, fat accumulates over this tissue. Therefore, when BMI (body mass index) is slightly higher, the underlying muscle tone may be less visible. For this reason, many people choose to combine CoolTone with CoolSculpting.
CoolTone can be conducted independently from CoolSculpting or other fat-reducing treatments. The MMS energy delivered during treatment passes through fat tissue to reach the target muscles. Higher BMI does not affect energy penetration. It can, however, affect visible results.
CoolSculpting can be an excellent partner for CoolTone. The fat-reducing treatment can be conducted immediately before CoolTone to target fat cells for natural elimination. During a CoolSculpting treatment, fat cells are cooled to a point at which they crystallize. This results in their metabolism over several weeks. Following this brief fat-freezing treatment, CoolTone can be administered to restructure muscle fibers so, as fatty tissue decreases, muscle tone is much more visible.
We offer attractive packages combining CoolSculpting and CoolTone to give our patients better value and better results.

How does CoolTone compare to Emsculpt?
CoolTone has a stronger electromagnetic field than any of the other devices on the market, such as EmSculpt. This means that it is possible to achieve greater muscle stimulation with CoolTone.
What are the advantages of CoolTone over Emsculpting?
CoolTone and Emsculpt are similar FDA cleared platforms that are both used for body contouring through involuntary muscle contractions. In clinical studies, CoolTone seemed to deliver energy in a gentler manner than its competitor, allowing patients to tolerate maximum power more quickly. The manufacturer also claims to harness 50% more energetic power than Emsculpt. However, studies have not proven that an increase in power leads to faster or better muscle-toning results.
The advantages of CoolTone include manufacturer credibility through the success of CoolSculpting. Patients appreciate that CoolTone can also be combined with CoolSculpting for maximum body-contouring results.
Will CoolTone help me lose weight?
CoolTone is not for weight loss, it is for increasing muscle definition.
How long is a CoolTone treatment session? How many treatments will I need?
Each CoolTone treatment lasts half an hour. Patients are fully clothed during their sessions and can resume normal activities immediately. Based on findings from clinical studies, results are achieved with a series of 4 treatment sessions conducted twice a week for two weeks. Patients often notice tighter muscle tone one week after their first session. Many patients choose 6-8 treatments per area for even greater results.
Does CoolTone help Diastasis Recti (Abdominal Muscle separation after pregnancy)?
Yes. During clinical studies, women with diastasis recti experienced as much as 11% improvement in the condition of separated abdominal muscles after 4 CoolTone treatment sessions.
