Cellulite Treatment with Profound
Performing the conventional Profound treatment to tighten the skin, the provider utilizes an applicator with multiple tiny needles that stimulate activity in the dermis. These needles need not go very deep to achieve the objective of increasing the production of collagen and elastin. Cellulite is not a problem that is entirely caused by loose skin, although that certainly plays a part. Cellulite is a condition that occurs when fatty tissue presses out against the fibrous bands that connect the skin to underlying connective tissue. It doesn't take much fat at all to press against these tight bands, which is why so many people have cellulite regardless of being a healthy weight. The Profound device can be used to treat cellulite by utilizing a separate applicator designed with longer microneedles. To reduce cellulite, this applicator delivers radiofrequency energy into the area around the fibrous bands, causing them to loosen and fat to melt. Fat is reduced and without the same strength, the bands release the skin to lie smooth and dimple-free. Additionally, the radiofrequency energy still acts on the dermis to bring more collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid to the surface. The dual action applicator melts fibrous bands and fat while also stimulating skin-tightening.
Profound for Treatment of Hyperhidrosis
Profound uses radiofrequency energy to reduce the number of sweat glands in targeted areas, most frequently under the arms. The advantage over other treatments is the permanence of results. Sweat reduction is apparent from the first treatment, though multiple treatments are usually needed for best results.

Is Profound better than a Facelift?
There is nothing like a facelift to achieve dramatic and lasting improvements in facial shape and contouring. To date, no nonsurgical treatment has achieved comparable results. However, there are advantages that Profound offers that make this treatment appealing to many adults. Profound does not involve the use of general anesthesia. The tissue remodeling that is achieved is stimulated to occur naturally. This looks like aging in reverse rather than returning to daily life looking dramatically different from one week to the next. Some patients prefer this type of rejuvenation. While there is very little recovery associated with Profound in comparison to facelift surgery, the results of this nonsurgical treatment may last about four years, whereas a facelift can last more than a decade before the signs of aging creep back in. Is There Downtime With the Profound Non-Invasive FaceLift?
Patients scheduled for non-surgical face tightening using the Profound RF microneedling platform may want to devote 5 to 7 days to recover. During the first few days after treatment, significant swelling may occur in the lower face and neck, along with mild redness and bruising. The treatment area may also feel moderately sore as the numbness wears off. While some downtime may be needed to allow these side effects to resolve, most patients are ready to return to their normal work and social engagements after one week.
Will I be able to drive myself home after the treatment?
Yes, you should be able to drive after Profound skin tightening. As a minimally invasive, super-powered RF microneedling treatment, Profound does not require the use of sedation. To make our patients comfortable, we may use a topical or local anesthetic that is injected across the treatment site. Both options work very well to reduce nerve sensation. Because there may be post-treatment swelling and soreness or tenderness, some patients choose to have someone accompany them to their appointment and drive them home.
How long after my Non-Surgical Facelift will I see results?
Results from Profound skin tightening typically begin to show several weeks after the procedure, but most people see maximum results between three and nine months after the procedure.
