You don't have to rely solely on plastic surgery procedures to address the signs of aging. We've come a long way in the last 20 years! Today, the use of nonsurgical modalities such as dermal fillers is commonplace. While injectables can't be a stand-in for surgical rejuvenation in every situation, they can be impactful for many people.

We're happy to oblige your preference for nonsurgical treatments! To learn more about Radiesse today, contact our Atlanta, GA office at (770) 273-0026.

What is Radiesse?

Radiesse is one of the varieties of dermal fillers that we use to correct the signs of aging. This filler is not like every other. Most are made from a foundation of hyaluronic acid. Radiesse, however, is built on the foundation of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) gel microspheres. This active ingredient works in a unique way to correct lines, wrinkles, and creases caused by the aging process

How Does Radiesse Work?

The calcium hydroxyapatite in the gel base of Radiesse begins to work immediately, similar to other dermal fillers made with hyaluronic acid. Initially, the gel does the "heavy lifting" to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Over time, however, the body is stimulated to produce more collagen, the protein that is integral to firm, youthful skin. Essentially, it's like Radiesse encourages your body to make more of its natural soft-tissue filler. This happens by mimicking natural connective tissue. After the calcium microspheres get absorbed, you have new collagen in place to sustain your results.

What Areas Does Radiesse Treat?

Like many dermal fillers, Radiesse is primarily used to correct the signs of facial aging. The most common complaints that are treated with Radiesse include nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and even aging hands. More recently, doctors on the cutting edge of aesthetic medicine have begun using Radiesse as a nonsurgical butt lift treatment!

What is the Radiesse Butt Lift Procedure?

For years, we've had only the surgical Brazilian Butt Lift or buttocks implants procedures to sculpt a more curvaceous backside. Today, thanks to the knowledge we've gained about certain injectable products, we have new options. Radiesse is one of them. Historically, surgeons have used silicone implants or autologous fat cells taken from another area of the body to augment the shape of the buttocks. These techniques can be advantageous but they do require quite a bit of risk, special care, and downtime. With Radiesse, the buttocks are shaped naturally through collagen stimulation. We're happy to speak with you about the pros and cons of this nonsurgical body contouring procedure.
